Effective from the 15th of April 2018, all addons, themes and bundles from the rtMedia Store will no longer be eligible for a 50% discount on renewal. This means that from that date onward, any license renewal will be charged at the base price.
Now all the customers need to pay full-price while renewing the existing license key.
- Customers who purchased in the past, need to pay full price which was that time. OR change the price to current price. ($19 to $49)
- The new customer who wants to renew next year, need to pay full price.
We did not take this decision lightly. We have been offering a 50% renewal discount since the beginning– and have stood
Why this decision is taken
We were giving a flat 50% off for every year to renew the license and was considered the grandfather customers as well.
After further analysis, we came to know the customer who is paying $9.5 for renewal getting the full year support and same kind of support we are giving to the customer who paid $49 per year. We need to give equal value to all our customers.
There are lots of support coming from the customer related to customization or asking for custom code, because of that the communication time increased and we have to increase our support engineers as well.
So considering the extra resource, the number of support topics and new features implementation, we have taken this decision.
